Hands Across the Water
Hands Across the Water (HATW) is a non-profit charity based in Thailand that helps to enrich the lives of Thai children and their communities through meaningful experiences and development.
After the tragic event of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, countless Thai children were left homeless and alone. Former Australian police forensic specialist Peter Baines, working with the tsunami disaster victim identification team, was deeply touched by the number of children left without families by the natural disaster. He was inspired to establish an organisation that would help make a difference. In late 2005, Hands Across the Water was formed.
Supporting more than 350 children across multiple locations throughout Thailand, HATW is dedicated to providing at-risk children with a safe environment, shelter, food, education and improvement opportunities. At the heart of their work are the best interests of the inspiring children they support. Projects are tailored to local community needs and designed to provide a lasting benefit. Children in the program are also mentored and nurtured to envision a future for themselves and their career, a driving force and inspiration to continue HATW well into the future.

Youngcare is a not-for-profit organisation passionate about creating a future where every young person has the freedom, dignity and choice to live the lives we all deserve.
Spearheading powerful and positive change to create a future, In 2005, four mates vowed to change the considerable gap in care provision for young people with high care needs when at the age of just 33 Shevaune Conry, who had multiple sclerosis ended up living in aged care.
It was the only place that could provide for her 24/7 care needs. With the purpose to create brighter futures for young people with high care needs, Youngcare was born.
Youngcare creates choice and independence for young people (aged 18 – 65) with high care needs by providing fully accessible and age-appropriate living spaces, grants for equipment and home modifications and support through a national phone line.
Share the Dignity
Share the Dignity works to make a real, on-the-ground difference to the lives of women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, domestic violence or poverty. Share the Dignity distributes period products to those in need and work to achieve menstrual equity here in Australia. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.
Share the Dignity are proud to partner with over 3,000 charities nationally, helping them to assist the women, girls and those who menstruate who desperately need access to period products. This is achieved through Dignity Drives and Dignity Vending Machines. They also collect and distribute bags filled with essential items to the people we support at Christmas time through their annual It’s in the Bag campaign.
