Media Merchants has been named the agency of record for independent Northern Rivers brewery, Stone & Wood, after a competitive tender in Brisbane.
This is the first external partnership for the Stone & Wood marketing team, with Media Merchants assisting the brewery’s marketing team with media planning and trading.
“Stone & Wood were looking for an agency who had the right cultural fit, an entrepreneurial spirit, and client first thinking, who could also produce best in class media trading outcomes,” Media Merchant’s managing director James Fitzgerald says.

Stone & Wood does all of their marketing in-house but have been looking for an agency to help them grow the awareness of their other brands.
“We’re excited to partner with Media Merchants and utilise their team’s expertise in media buying,” Stone & Wood communications and community manager Jasmin Daly says.
The win is the second for Media Merchants in as many months, with the agency picking up Melbourne based Total Tools in a competitive pitch in June.
The wins also follow the hire of former Ikon Brisbane managing director Chris Ernst, who joined the specialist full-service agency in the newly created role of commercial director earlier this year.
